1 minute skatepark guide Cranbourne South - Station Creek Way Playground with Joe Stuart, Martin Gade & Hayden Golder.
The kids in Cranbourne South have been screaming for a free skatepark for years and finally the city of Casey have delivered. The first thing to note is that there isn’t a lack of space in this park but they decided to cram everything into a relatively small area, sometimes less is more. This skatepark has more lumps than your grandma’s custard.
The best part of this skatepark is definitely the long edge of the quarter as it has a lovely mound that is a pleasure to grind over. The proportions are just right. The coping is perfect with just the right amount of sticky-up-ness. The coping then has a seamless integration into pool coping and then into a ledge, absolutely brilliant, I must say!
B-Roll
There is a ledge that looks like two juicy thighs, I slipped out on the approach and there was a lot of this happening at this skatepark. You need to approach everything perfectly to the centimetre because as I mentioned there’s shit every were. I then bring you to the pump track that is in a figure 8 and then it passes through the skatepark but over to one side, thankfully.
It’s a cool little pumptrack and can be skated as a skatepark if you get a clear run. Kids can just appear out of nowhere. We had a great time here and if you are a local I would recommend checking it out. We give this skatepark 3 VBs out of the Six pack. - Joe Stuart.

I was lucky enough to get an invite to the MegaRanch by all time good guy Nick Petropoulos. We started off the day with a warm up on the 18 foot mini mega. A normal vert ramp is 12 foot so this was big. Then we transistioned to the mega ramp where we dropped in the landing and rode the 27 foot ramp. The take off is 55 foot high. This thing is massive! - Joe Stuart (Shiftyroyale.com).
About the MegaRanch - by Peter Wilson (Megaranchaustralia.com)
“My name is Peter Wilson, I am a Golf Professional, and a winner of tournaments around the world. My passion for Surfing & Skateboarding made me create an event a few years ago, I staged Australia’s largest one day golf event, and positioned a vert ramp in middle of the golf event!
After this event I noticed that for the top level skateboarders and BMX riders, there are no facilities for them to train for the big air competitions. Currently in the United States, there is Bob Burnquist’s Private backyard Mega Ramp, Danny Way has created a private ramp off the charts in Hawaii, and there is the Woodward West Mega Ramp (torn down in 2019?).
In Australia there is not many high standard facility’s available for my action sports athlete friends to train on are no Mega Ramp’s a lot of them have moved to America. If my kids wanted to Pursue a career in Actions sports I didn’t want them to abandon Australia, so with my main sidekick Chaddy we took it upon ourselves to create the Megaranch training facility. After the first one had to be relocated it was the perfect opportunity to build it better and properly, we wanted to create a Megaramp that was safe enough to progress all ages into there perspective sports through expert guidance in camp style environments. We now have created a place for BMX Riders and Skateboarders in Australia to have a place to train on, and potentially reach the X-Games level”.

I’m no longer a student, I’m 40 and I actually enjoy work. At the moment we are in our 6th lockdown in Melbourne and I have to say that it is starting to get tough. I have my morning routine of exercise and caffeine but the one thing that keeps me motivated, the one thing that has kept me positive is this, welcome to my world: Inline Skating. - Joe Stuart.
