Using the Zoetrope technique (Wikipedia). “This promotional clip was shot under specific conditions. A record player was used to keep a slow and constant speed of rotation”.
“Filmed at a very high shutter speed (1/ 600, 24 fps, 125 iso). The zoetrope animation will not animate correctly to the naked eye unless under a strobe light and with a constant speed.”. - Kevin McGloughlin.

Rollerblading, Animation & Edit: Kevin McGloughlin. Camera: Paraic McGloughlin. Song: Nada - Amore Disperato.
Hello good people. Been a long while since I posted anything of me on the roller boots. I haven’t been skating much lately but managed to scrape up a few tricks for this short rollerblading animation… was fun! Nothing serious :)
Mostly leftovers from other rollerblading projects, but a fair few of the tricks are new…ish. And all the animation is fresh! Hope you enjoy the rotoblading. Podge filmed every trick apart from two of them. Conor Manweiler and Peter Martin filmed the others. Big thanks to Conor and the Kaltik family. Much love to Kaltik. - Kevin McGloughlin.
