“This year we’re giving away $8000…” - Chris Mccormick.
Chicago, Illinois - July 20th, 2024. Twenty-three years and still going strong. The event was exactly what it states to be…an absolute riot. A difficult one to film as skaters came charging one after another from all directions to hit each spot in multiple different ways so if you want to try and see everything that went down I’d suggest you watch a few different edits after this one as well as staying on top of social media posts from the event. The energy from everyone was amazing and supportive and the winners went home with a nice chunk of money this year. Well done to everyone involved! Cheers! - butterTV.

Chicago, Illinois — July 17th, 2021. Year twenty! WOW! The riot is known for it’s big prize pot and this year was no surprise as first place took home 3K! Four skate locations with some unique approaches like setting up a wooden box to a square handrail or just gaping onto a kinked down ledge. The skating was entertaining and the crowd, as usual, was full of life.
We got kicked out of the final spot but as the campus police were there, the show ended with a banger that was later awarded with a best trick prize. Another great year at the riot and another win for the Chicago scene. Cheers! Visit Buttertv.com.
“It’s a moving, drunk, street fest/ party of rollerbladers and it’s the best collection of people I think that probably exists anywhere”. — Brandon Lorenzo.

CBW aka Cheese Burger Wednesday is a weekly meet up of rollerbladers alike deep within the city buildings in Pilsen, a neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois. The event happens at a local hostile, creative art studio, under the supervision of an adult rollerblading, futuristic being named Dave Depew.
3 members of the local organization traveled south on interstate 65 for a small holiday. After a number of days spent in Nashville, Tennessee, the Chicago natives found themselves posted in a motel off 65 North in a little ole’ town named Bowling Green. They spent an entire day ripping the bluegrass topped hills of Western Kentucky University with me & Milk Shake.
Here are some of the in-line antics from that said day. Starring David Depew. Featuring appearances by Chris McCormick, Rory Melehan, & Hunter Cooper. If you ever find yourself lost with time to kill in the Windy City, on a Wednesday, stop by Dave O D’s and catch one with cheese. Veggie patties are more than welcome. Kiss the Q for me!
