Another year, another international adventure: with beautiful scenery, sunny skies, and often unbearably hot weather, Portugal set the perfect scene for our newest team project. Led in Lisbon by Martim & Rodrigo Braz-Teixeira, over the hills of Miraflores, welcomed in Sines by Ricardo Lino & family to explore Santo André, Santiago do Cacém and other hidden gems. Surrounded by the sounds of the local language, like a sweet bounce of sonorities all mixed up with the gibberish spoken among our international guests. Fed with cheap food from Lidl and amazing, tasty treats devoured at the terraces of cafés.
Because of course, it was always coffee time. Views of the intense blue of the sky, the deep blue of the Ocean, steep drop-ins onto sandy beaches, and quick dives in the water to refresh. Sights of lovely paintings, colorful walls everywhere, art and poetry infused into our daily routines. Visions of long hair and sweaty landings, stinky liners drying in the hot sun, lazy naps in the shade. Life on the streets.
Because of course, there was no better place for us to go. So, when it came down to the skating itself… You be the judge of how much insane stuff happened in just under two weeks of time, in the wonderful land of Purtugalya!

It was time to give back to one of the best people and team members ever. After almost three years in the making, this special signature skate sees the light. Grant Hazelton is one of the most candid, supportive, and positive people I’ve ever met, working with him has been stimulating since day one.
This is undoubtedly a well-deserved recognition for his dedication to the scene, for so many years scratching knees and elbows against the concrete, and for the courage to speak up for the lgbtq+ skating scene. You know, Grant, that the whole team, Marco and I, are excited about this. You also know how much time we spent talking, wondering, and working on this skate, and now that’s finally real, you didn’t even put them on once, because life is unpredictable, but as unpredictable as it can be, I still can’t wait to see what the future holds. Hoping I’ll be able to keep working together and being still blessed to call you my friend. - Martina Marg, Roces.
The boot is 96% recycled PU, the white part is 47% cornstarch-based plastic, liner padding is 100% recycled PU. The packaging is recyclable and 99% plastic-free. Made in Italy. Ships in November.
I’m very happy to present my signature skate from Roces. I want to say something really thoughtful and profound but I’m honestly kind of speechless and overwhelmed with positivity and love today, being able to share this with everyone feels even more surreal and wonderful than I expected, thank you all so much - Grant Hazelton.
Had a great time in Detroit. Didn’t plan in making an edit, didn’t really “film” either but here is some raw clips with some slow mo. Enjoy. - Matthew Plasencia.

A quick rip around the block in Rochester, NY filmed by Tim Adams on the mini cam a couple months ago for GCD but they just didn’t quite work into the video. Grant Hazelton is an absolute ripper, showing no sign of slowing down. He has dropped countless great sections and now he’s out spreading the word about Roces. Not to mention, he is just an awesome dude! We need more like Grant out there! Rest in Peace Aretha. Stay Cheezy!

2017 was an odd one. Filmed by Tim Adams, Nate Hall, Connor Kenrick, AJ Pow and Kris Troyer.
Grant Hazelton takes first in our most recent online video contest! Filmed: Nathaniel Hall, Tim Adams, & AJ Pow. I have always been a huge fan of Grant’s blading and when I saw he was going to enter the contest, I was pretty stoked. He really brought the cheddar, I think he fit double the amount of clips in 1min vs everyone else! Sit back and enjoy Grant ripping around park in his natural habitat!
Florida ripper Zack Pollack takes second place! Filmed: Pablo Porta. Zack made the very last submission for the contest and damn did it stir things up a bit. Zack always brings some great skating to the table, and this edit definitely Compliments that! Make sure to look out for Zack in the CheezyFeet video, Grilled Cheez Deluxe!
Joey Lunger takes 3rd! Joey’s skating is one of a kind, super flowy with a ton of creativity sprinkled all over it! His skating doesn’t disappoint, and even in a park packed with kiddos, its no execption! All other winners will be announced today! Stay tuned! Filmed: Zeke Kubinski.
