Kizer Soulframe 60 - Rolling Review with Sam Crofts: Sam Crofts reviews our new Soulframe at the BAYSIXTY6 Skate Park in London.
After the success of the USD Aeon skate, we took a close look at its design in the development of the new Kizer Soulframe 60. We wanted to lower the center of gravity whilst increasing the direct feeling of grinding. It is completely made out of aluminum for maximum energy transfer, faster grinds, and designed specifically for the high-speed park, bowl skating, and coping grinds. Like the Aeon it is a non-UFS unibody soul plate with an integrated frame, to achieve the lowest center of gravity and widest split for flat setups, making it lighter and stronger whilst using fewer parts. Plate and frame are made out of 6061 aircraft aluminum, CNC machined to perfection and coming with the new Element II aluminum H-block. The frame is designed to hold a maximum of 4x60mm wheels for, what we consider to be the perfect flat setup. The Soulframe has predrilled and recessed mounting holes which are compatible fit most USD skates and also Salomons.

What’s the story?
As many of you will know we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the Rush Skatepark open. However despite our best efforts the facility has now closed. It’s a tragedy for our local community and riders of the south west.
But we’re not giving up. Our plan is to create a new facility to fill the void. To do that we need to raise a sizeable sum for planning permission to get started but in the first off, initially we want to try to raise £25,000 through this Crowdfunder.
What we need to do
The loss of the skate park is going to hit the community hard, especially in the winter months. The parents, riders and supporters of Rush (also known as the ‘Friends of Rush Skatepark’) want to ensure we have a state of the art indoor Olympic standard facility in Gloucestershire to serve the county, the south west and nationally. We want to be the park that ‘must be visited’ attracting attention across the globe.
This is down to us now. We have the support of Jerry and Michelle Norman (the owners of Rush) and their brilliant team. We know we can count of them to help make this a reality but it isn’t their job to raise the money. We are happy to step up and take on the challenge and we ask you to join us on this journey!
We need to find a suitable site and then get planning permission. Stroud District Council have offered land at Stratford Park in Stroud but we need to fund a planning application and this is likely to cost way in excess of £200,000. We’re going to try and raise the first £95,000 through Crowdfunder by offering rewards and bringing the community together through the platform.

Few of the gang took a well needed trip away down to Cornwall for some sun sea skate and thunder storms nearly losing the tent one night and the gazebo not being as lucky.. while they got really lucky with the weather a few days one day they took no chances and book themselves into the newly redone Mounthawk skate park witch did not disappoint. - Capital Rollas.

New V.O.D in the making. This one is going to be a full length, 10 or so minutes long section! All filmed in my home town Plymouth. I’m going to try and capture all the history, hidden treasures, interesting spots, hammers and everything else this beautiful city has to offer.
