Released in 2011, Ground Control GC.1 came to define a years worth of achievement from the blading community. Featuring a strong roster of talent from the team itself and directed by Simon Mulvaney, this film documents the story of the frames beneath the feet of each of the GC team.
With the film coming to a close, Episode 11 gives us a brief insight into the insanity that is Joey Chase’s blading. From massive gaps and huge kinks, to incredible switch ups and tech tricks, we see just why Joey is considered one of the best street skaters in the world.

Originally a split section with Brian Aragon until it was discovered that most of Brian’s footage was inadvertently passed on to the creators of ESPY and used in that project. Not a problem for the hammer dropping, Detroit native: Don Bambrick was able to scramble up some footage to complete the only unshared profile of the DVD. Hope you enjoy! Be on the lookout in the upcoming weeks for clips from Don and all of the Six Won Six team as they focus on filming for the Six Won Six DVD.

We took our time stacking clips for this section while Brian Arnold finished up his last year of College.
We dealt with everything from drug infested neighborhoods, Camera malfunctions, injuries, multiple hangovers, shit weather from 15 to 115 degrees, and anything else you imagine could happen when a Yankee filmer raised in New York and a southern beer-drinking good ole boy from Texas team up to make movie magic in Baltimore. - Nick Pisciotta.
Music: “Take This Job and Shove It” by Johnny Paycheck.
I laugh every time I see the Makio in this edit! Was NOT supposed to be in there, was meant to be a different angle for the run up. - Derek Henderson (2017).
Derek Henderson is a big, burly, man-blader. His skating is rugged, powerful, and badass. Fester wheels have to be tough, durable, and able to withstand the abuse Derek puts on them. If they are good enough for him, they must be good enough for you. - Fester Wheels (2012).
“I have given it much thought. It seems, disaster must come. At best, only postponed. Shaolin Kung-Fu. To survive must now be taught, to more young men. We must expand, get more pupils. So that the knowledge will spread”. Cam and Cut by Daniel Enin. Additional filming by Martin Herber.
I got this DVD a long time ago when I bought a pair of deshi skates, just thought I’d upload it. - Dilaneesus.
