WS Roller Freestyle World Cup, Men Finals - A ROLLER FINAL TO REMEMBER!
It was the appointment of this day not to be missed the WS ROLLER FREESTYLE PARK WORLD CUP MEN FINAL! The format: 12 riders, 2 heats of 6 riders, runs of 50 seconds, the best run counts. The judging criteria: difficulty of the tricks, technique, amplitude, creativity and use of the park.
The first heat was composed of Aurel Le Cam, Diego Guilloud, Lenny Jourda, Cj Wellsmore, Víctor Medrano, and Joe Atkinson. Lenny Jourda stood out, a young 17 years old rider, who grew up with FISE, landed a double back flip, which the crowd loved. Australian Cj Wellsmore impressed everyone with a really unique run using the entire park.
The second heat is composed of Takeshi Yasutoko, Roman Abrate, Nicolas Servy, Julien Cudot, Jay Yoon and Diako Diaby. The level of this second heat was incredible and they all used the course to its maximum. The French skaters really stood out from the crowd, especially Diako Diaby who was incredible in this final and Julien Cudot who made the crowd lose their minds.
On the podium, in the bronze medal place we have Julien Cudot, the silver medal Jay Yoon and Diako Diaby wins the gold medal!

WS Roller Freestyle World Cup, Women Finals - THE FUTURE OF FREESTYLE ROLLER IS NOW
The eight best riders are gathered on the Park to send their heaviest tricks and most innovative lines, while a new generation is pushing hard too!
With such a great line-up, the judges are tasked with deciding between all these talented athletes. The results are in, and despite the disappointment for some promising new riders like Carla Martin, the podium looks great! In third place comes Armelle Tisler, who connected nice spins and technical grinds all through her run. On the second step, the young up-and-comer Anaelle Nogueira gave it her all with a performance full of style and committed tricks to take the victory. But on top of the podium, the USD pro rider from Spain, Mery Munoz won with a big run, punctuated by a top soul on the rail and a frontflip on the box!
A beautiful sun, a great show, and an enthusiastic crowd, this is the kind of moment we love to start the weekend well! The riders were great, Montpellier loved it, and the future of Freestyle Roller is looking brighter than ever!

25-29 May 2022. FISE Montpellier is back! You’ve waited long enough and we can’t wait to welcome you back to the birthplace of FISE. Who’s in?
Since the start of the season, Hurricane Group has been motived to reconnect with FISE’s initial mission of bringing together riders and fans to celebrate action sports and the values that unite them. FISE Montpellier was intended as a real urban sports party where everyone is invited, from Amateurs to Pros, and including the many spectators that make the atmosphere at this iconic festival so special.
With the current sanitary situation and many restrictions, which would drastically limit the number of people able to attend the event, it is no longer possible to meet our ambitions for the festival. Without the crowds of enthusiasts and international riders , no format envisaged can recreate what has ensured the success of FISE Montpellier since 1997.
Faced with this, the organization is forced to cancel the September edition of FISE Montpellier 2021. As of now, the goal is to return in 2022 with a real FISE Montpellier, even more ambitious than all the previous editions.
Until then, the 2021 stages of the FISE Xperience Series, FISE Métropole and Savoie Mont Blanc Freestyle Tour presented by FISE are maintained, as well as the E-FISE Junior by Hot Wheels 2021 which continues throughout the summer.
Events, sorted by date (note: those are the dates featuring rollerblading events, if you want to check the full schedule, visit Fise.fr/en).

By creating a partnership with the famous toys and tracks brand Hot Wheels, the E-FISE Junior by Hot Wheels will be devoted to Youths and will welcome all riders aged 16 & under to show their best performances. In BMX, Skateboard, Roller or Scooter Freestyle, this collaboration is driven to inspire kids’ and teenagers’ creativity, as well as their attraction for seeking big thrills on various fields of play. Organized during the July and August holidays, girls and boys take advantage of the summer to produce their videos, then broadcast them on the dedicated web platform. The spectators will be all welcomed thanks to the establishment of an adapted health protocol, enough to bring back to the Montpellier’s crowd all the passions contained in the FISE vibes, and to make the city beat to the rhythm of urban disciplines for a weekend. The FISE World Games in Montpellier is all wrapped up, and now they are moving on to the next stop in Canet located in the south of France. Rollerblade represented in Montpellier. Here is a brief summary about the experience.
Poni from Jakarta, Indonesia and Guillaume le Gentil from Paris, France entered the rail battle. Poni was pleased to finish the contest with a very nice sweat-stance. The feat was especially challenging because Poni lost his skates prior to the event starting. He had to compete on a pair of Rollerblade skates quickly put together from spare parts. Guillaume also skated during the rail contest and impressed the spectators and judges with his stylish tricks.
Sven Boekhorst had a great contest the week before taking home 1st Place on the Spine Ramp and 2nd Place in Park. At Montpellier Sven competed in the Park, Slopestyle and the Spine Ramp contests. It was a challenging series of events for Sven, but he was still able to push through and take home a 6th place finish in the Spine Ramp competition.
Jeremy Suarez was on fire heading into Montpellier, and was a serious contender for the gold medal. Unfortunately our Belgium powerhouse was injured during the Roller Freestyle Park Pro Invitational practice and couldn’t compete at the FISE World Games.
