Fise Montpellier 2021 Postponed, Rendez Vous in 2022

Since the start of the season, Hurricane Group has been motived to reconnect with FISE’s initial mission of bringing together riders and fans to celebrate action sports and the values that unite them. FISE Montpellier was intended as a real urban sports party where everyone is invited, from Amateurs to Pros, and including the many spectators that make the atmosphere at this iconic festival so special.

With the current sanitary situation and many restrictions, which would drastically limit the number of people able to attend the event, it is no longer possible to meet our ambitions for the festival. Without the crowds of enthusiasts and international riders , no format envisaged can recreate what has ensured the success of FISE Montpellier since 1997.

Faced with this, the organization is forced to cancel the September edition of FISE Montpellier 2021. As of now, the goal is to return in 2022 with a real FISE Montpellier, even more ambitious than all the previous editions.

Until then, the 2021 stages of the FISE Xperience Series, FISE Métropole and Savoie Mont Blanc Freestyle Tour presented by FISE are maintained, as well as the E-FISE Junior by Hot Wheels 2021 which continues throughout the summer.

July 12 - Sept 1st • E-FISE Junior by Hot Wheels (Roller Park)

Initiated in 2020 in response to the health situation, the E-FISE Montpellier stood out for its ability to bring out young talents from all around the world. At the heart of the festival’s ambition since its creation, this desire to extend the passion for urban sports is anchored again in the coming season. By creating a partnership with the famous toys and tracks brand Hot Wheels, the E-FISE Junior by Hot Wheels will be devoted to Youths and will welcome all riders aged 16 & under to show their best performances. In BMX, Skateboard, Roller or Scooter Freestyle, this collaboration is driven to inspire kids’ and teenagers’ creativity, as well as their attraction for seeking big thrills on various fields of play. Organized during the July and August holidays, girls and boys take advantage of the summer to produce their videos, then broadcast them on the dedicated web platform. More infos & Riders registration.

August 27-29 • FISE Xperience Le Havre (Roller Park)

Sept 3-5 • FISE Montpellier (Spine Ramp) - CANCELLED (check this post)

Already recognized as one of the FISE unmissable spots, the heart of Montpellier will once again be taken over by the festival in September for a brand new event. On the famous Spine Ramp, a whole program of BMX, Skateboard, Roller and Scooter competitions will offer a jam-packed schedule for three days, completed by a FIG Parkour World Cup stop and a BMX Flatland contest. The spectators will be all welcomed thanks to the establishment of an adapted health protocol, enough to bring back to the Montpellier’s crowd all the passions contained in the FISE vibes, and to make the city beat to the rhythm of urban disciplines for a weekend. More infos & Riders registration.

Sept 17-19 • FISE Xperience Canet-en-Roussillon (Roller Freestyle Park)

Located in the South of France, just 12 km from Perpignan, Canet en Roussillon is a seaside resort that has 9km of beautiful fine sand. What a delight swimming, tanning and action sports. This stop is known as our little “California”. More infos & Riders registration.

Earlier in the day, Kids, Juniors and Amateurs finals had warmed up the Park especially built for the occasion. The increasing level of young riders is already arousing the interest of many partners who are investing in the new generation to support their progress. Following their podium, a Grind Contest invited all riders to challenge each other by shredding on a rail, showcasing the rookies commitment who were facing the Pros.

The start-list announced an epic contest, and the level of these ones final has met all its promises. Rather discreet in training, Julien Cudot has achieved what he does best - pulling out of the hat a stratospheric run that no one had seen coming. Both the sequence of tricks, their technicality and their creativity, especially on transfers, testify to the talent of the Parisian, highlighted by a great amplitude to grab the first place.

He is closely followed by Jeremy Dominguez, who electrified the crowd on his first run with a massive Fakie Backflip on the Rainbow Transfer. Also on fire during these finals, Nicolas Servy won the bronze medal with a solid and aerial style, confirmed by the commitment during his Frontflip in Transfer.
