Vince Camarillo - rollerblading in the Bay Area. A JSF Edit.
Guest Appearance by Erik Garcia.
“The support is amazing. We have a great community out here”. - Mike Jiminez.
Oakland, California - September 30th, 2023. While spending some time in San Francisco to finish up filming with Cameron Talbott, we found ourselves lucky with the timing as the Bay Area Skate Series (B.A.S.S.) took place during our stay on the west coast. With reports of light rain, we made it over the bay bridge into Oakland for the day to catch up with everyone while the sky barely kept it together long enough for the duration of the competition where the winner takes all.
There was a rumor floating around that this would be the last one but we all know how that goes and after the turnout and results—there certainly will be another one. Great times, great tricks, and most of all, great people. Cheers! - butterTV.
San Jose, California - September 19, 2021. Shot mostly one day in San Jose after the Bay Area Skate Series with a few added clips from past competitions just to mix things up but also to show that Chino Sin and Demetrios George have been going nonstop back to back since the Boschi Pope Skate Off. Looking forward to catching up with these two again along with the crew that tagged along to make it a fun weekend. Cheers! - butterTV.

“That’s what we live for, that’s what we do, this is rollerblading baby and we gonna show y’all the best of it.” - Challe Walle.
San Jose, California - September 18, 2021. The last street competition that took place out in SJ was three years ago in 2018 pre-covid and what a pleasure it was to be back out there. Three spots: Ledges, a shotgun rail, and a long classic spot dubbed as “the best worst spot”. As usual, the vibes were great and everyone skated really well. Shout out to Mike and everyone who helped organize and attended the event. The community out in NorCal is still one of the strongest. Cheers to the good times! - butterTV.
Featuring Korey Waikiki, Chino Sin, Demetrios George, Cameron Talbott, Stephen Babcock, Daniel Malm, Anthony Luna, Taylor Kobryn, Daneil Gomes, Chad Tannehill, Gene Steagall & more.

Sections - P L A Y:
Intro - “Allow ESG to usher you into the Bay Area. GET JUICED. BARS.” Track: BJM – Sound of Confussion.
John Vossoughi - “John Vossoughi is a rare breed. A man of the lam. The Spirit of the Haight is written into the palms of his hands, but his journey spans the globe. Welcome to San Francisco.”
Oregon, Bladies, and Pablo - “Our travels are possibly the most important part of the blading lifestyle. The real gold is the bonds that last forever. Get out in the world. Commune with your bladefamily.” Track: John Stewart ft. Stevie Nicks - Gold.
Cameron Talbott - “Cameron brings an equilibrium to any situation not found in many people. Maybe it’s his upbringing off the bounty of the land. Maybe it’s the blessings of Haight/Ashburry. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure: His colors, like his crystals, are equally balanced.” Track: War - Spirit.
Philip Moore - “Philip Moore’s love of all things cheese and dough is matched only by his love of community. From Birmingham to Berkeley, he has remained dedicated to assist those around him to always be better today than yesterday. Join him on that journey. Track: Earl Sweatshirt - Grief.
Visitors & JSF - “The Bay area is infamous among us as a mecca of blade lore. Experience all sides of the Bay: the hills and districts, the blunt smoke, the Sideshows, and the Heem.” Track: Mac Dre - Too Hard For the Fuckin Radio.
Michael Braud - “This is my highest of highs and my lowest of lows. Welcome to my Junkyard.” Track: The Birthday Pary - Junkyard (Live on Gotterdamerung, 1982).

Credz - “Luckily, when the sun sets, it’s fleeting beauty decidedly lies in its impermanence. The end of another moment under the sun is a signal to begin the fight to fit all that we can into the darkness. Because, though some nights seem longer than others, there is always another day. BARS.” Track: Lou Reed – Street Hassle.
Skating in San Francisco, Bay Area, North California.
8th Wonder was my first section in a real video. I still remember what it was like staying at Justin’s house on the weekends and cruising all around the bay area to simply skate and get tricks on tape. No sponsors, no obligations and no agenda other than having fun.
Being 15 years old, all I wanted to do was skate and all Justin wanted to do was film me (and others) skating. Back in those days it was all about the group session and that’s how a lot of the stuff was filmed. You could always count on some of your friends skating the spots with you, and getting you juiced to land tricks.
I was always pushing myself the most when skating with the older, and better dudes like Erick Garcia, Rob G, Vinny Minton, Jared Magers, Pat Lennen and more. Each time I watch this video, all I can think about is those non stop care free sessions with friends. It’s a nice reminder of the main reason I fell in love with blading and still do it after all these years. - Brandon Smith.

Skated here (Coral Reef Ledge) yesterday with Ivan Narez and Victor Arias. My first time since 2000. It’s recently skate friendly again. For those who don’t know, Coral Reef is a classic blading spot in Northern California.
Bladers who grew up in the Bay Area know how this hubba took folks out. Intimidating for its height , length and that coral reef like cement. You didn’t want to fall on or off it the wrong way for obvious reasons. Skating here yesterday took me back to the old 408 days.
This back full torque pic was taken in 2000 by Jonny Donhowe for Daily Bread Magazine. - Jon Julio.
The entire edit is filmed in Northern California. Mostly in the Bay Area and my hometown Sacramento. We filmed for about 2-3 months. Usually only skating on the weekends since we all have jobs. - Sean Keane.
Sean Keane is an All-Terrain killer. Sean will clip up on every spot in sight, bringing a little something extra to the table. Watch him hold it down in Northern California and tear up his local scene. Interview & Photos on Rollerblade.com.
